Beachwatch is the Marine Conservation Society’s national beach cleaning and litter surveying programme – helping people all around the UK to care for their coastline with the Great British Beach Clean being the flagship event.
This year’s Beachwatch Big Weekend has now taken place, so keep an eye out for the results of the clean-up. We will post them here once available.
Last year over 20 volunteers cleaned six beaches as part of the Great British Beach Clean in the Clyde Marine Region; collecting 129kg of rubbish. Inspiring! If you want to set up a regular beach clean at your local beach visit this site!
